Dear Friends,
As many of you know, Optimist International is an association of more than 2,900 Optimist Clubs around the world dedicated to "Bringing Out the Best in Kids." Adult volunteers join Optimist Clubs to conduct positive service projects in their communities aimed at providing a helping hand to youth. With their upbeat attitude, Optimist Club members help empower young people to be the best that they can be.
We are blessed to have Doug spearheading the Leon County club and serving as President. To make this group a success, we need to increase our membership and visibility in the community.
Please consider visiting a meeting and either join our club (please note you do not need to attend every meeting) or become a “friend” (and provide financial support) we would love to see you!
Meetings are held at 11:30 every other Thursday at ARTS 2743 Capital Circle NE Suite 105. Our next meeting will be tomorrow, April 5th.
We will spend time strategizing how to build up our local club and discuss restructure the leadership team.

Tomorrow is the New Member Briefing for new Chamber members. Each Leads Group is assigned to be represented at each meeting. Only two groups are allowed to attend each meeting. Leads 7 is up for tomorrow and for July 11, 2012. If you can attend the meeting to represent Leads 7, please let me know. I am available and willing to attend but a prior appointment will prohibit me from arriving until 9:30 at least. Let me know please if you can attend. Thank you!
